Who are you when you’re still asleep
Before you open your eyes
Have those first drifting thoughts?
Because that’s who you are
when you die
Before you were born
In a million years from now
You will live on
In another sleeping skin
A soul adrift
Externally morphing
Blooming from within
Unfurling eternally
As a thousand
Human
Beings

I hope I can experience sunrise or sunset at that location at some point in my life.

Oooh I love the concept of immortality in this. Like stardust, we change forms and still linger on in time. That’s such an interesting premise, too. ππ€

Yesss I liked it too – sort of came out in the early hours of the morning – predawn everything seems possible later in the day I thought hmm but Iβm still entranced by this motion of a revolving door of bodies and this soul that just gently keeps perpetuating – I really like it – I donβt write that sort of thing (book wise) but I see a something developing in my peripheral vision. Will just let it sit there for now and ferment awhile. π

Ah I love it when those little plot bunnies spring out at you and your mind starts to run with it. I do hope the rumination brings something forward with telling a story.

I like the words plot bunnies. Yes! Or maybe those little meerkats like Timon in The Lion King.

Haha Timon definitely embodies what a plot bunny does. It talks so fast you can hardly keep up.
