It is our nature to be artists

To take up paint brush

Pen and colour

Is the nature of all humans.

We are artists

Created in our creators image.

Given some space

And an idea

We flow into being

*the amount of people flourishing at this time. Painting, writing, playing music, taking photos, organising, sewing, cooking, sculpting and carrying out all manner of creative projects reminds me that we are all artists at heart – it is our nature and our deepest inclination.

We just need to have the other “stuff” taken away.

This morning I spent a couple of happy hours painting a boring plastic pot for my plant. Phillip the Fiddleleaf is much happier in his new bright pot. Cost me nothing, already had the chalk paint left over from a project from a year or so ago.

I cannot recall for the life of me why I had this bright pink – I would have preferred red – I have always disliked pink, regardless, it is cheerful.

Think I will do some more. Dogs at my feet, some tunes and sunshine – what more can a person want?

  1. God is in everyone and everything, after the winter comes the spring ,
The bells of joy  start to ring ,
Rebirth of livelihood is a wonderful  thing ,

The divine is here , there and everywhere,
For all of us , God would care ,
Dare to believe that life is fair ,

In the darkness of the night,
    Stars could be shining bright,
The moonlight shows  up on sight ,
Being from the divine light ,
    Things are marvelous  and white,
With God , by your side , nothing to fear and nothing to fright,
Gather in love and with the almighty God unite ,
    Our powers we gather and
May almighty God ,  the warm flames of justice and love in the world ignite

    • I used to be terrible with plants but then I used to treat them as decor instead of living breathing intelligent life forms. Now I respect and love them they grow happily. I cannot believe how blind and dumb with plants I used to be – meanwhile I asked Steve what he thought of the pot … “yeah I noticed it”. 😂😂😂oh well, that’s all art wants – notice. Don’t think it’s a sideline but I certainly enjoy it.

      • Oh Steve 🤣 might be time to write the “Steve quote book” haha 😂 Jases tag line for blog posts, art etc is “thats great honey!” And he flashes the same grin each time 🤣

Yes, plants are divine. I’m down to 1 orchid, an aloe and a few succulents. Cricket decided to act like a cat one day and annihilated my leafy ones. Turd 💩

      • I often wonder how cats do with plants – Hogan takes plastic pots from my shed and helpfully strews them about and yesterday unpotted a zucchini baby I had done the day before – endlessly curious he is always taking things to “study further” – he also crawled into Steve’s Ute through an open window (no small feat for a huge wolfhound) and ate his custard slice the other day …Hogan I believe is a cat in a dogs body.

      • Oh a Steve was livid when he discovered his custard slice gone – been saving it. Hogan believes in living in the moment – to top it off one of his big feet went straight through the crown of Steve’s work hat which was sitting on the seat.
Hogan pleaded the fifth and all his buddies backed him. I thought it was hilarious of course so wasn’t much help either. Dog discipline is a slippery thing in our household.
