The tracks quiver expectantly
A train approaches
I step back behind the yellow line
This one’s not for me
It is filled with dark and ruinous thoughts
Anxiety fogs its windows
I turn my back deliberately
I’ll wait until tomorrow
*we have a choice, which thoughts to allow into our heads. I can see the wrong ones coming, hear the whistle blow, just know, this one isn’t for me.
Photos mine, the words, or at least the idea, first in this instance, I then took myself down to the local train station to snap a few pictures. It’s nice to have a subject.
All taken with the intentional blur of a wide open aperture. The train only calls once a week now. It made me really want to take a train ride – I haven’t done that since a child, perhaps someday soon.
