It rises
teaching me
how to rise too.
To leave everything on the ground
Evaporate towards the clouds
Becoming more transparent
All around
Fog to mist
vapour to air
Join with the clouds
Come back down again
As gentle rain
That feeds the ground
Grows the grass
Nitrogen
Descended
Transformed
Excreted
Rises
Transforms
Deleted
Never.
Everything is circular
In the body
In life
Within the planet
And on it
Outwards into the universe
only space junk will circle endlessly.
Inwards, same old stuff, until we choose to transform it.
*I’m writing in a lot of different places at the moment. My creativity is off the chart and I’ve put it down to developing a super power, consistency. I now have two substack accounts – the first has my “These 2 Hands” project which takes a deeper look at the roles people play in our communities and combines my two loves of photography and human stories. The second is for longer-form essays and writing. I opened it by mistake but it might be one of my better mistakes so I’m keeping it. I just published my first article on that account and the link to it is here: https://open.substack.com/pub/shouldhavebeenbeth/p/consistency-as-a-path?r=1frfdp&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
I know. There are more than enough things competing for our attention these days. The thing is, I found another truism lately. If I am creating then I am not wasting time on useless pursuits that add nothing to my life. If you need a little inspiration to get into a consistent habit and watch that power grow into every corner of your life – perhaps check it out. Have a lovely day X
