When you feel like Ceaser Salad

A friend of mine gave me a beautiful home grown Cos lettuce

I made Steve chicken Ceaser salad and I had this:


2 tblsp Veganaise

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

6 or 7 capers

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp caper juice (from bottles capers)

Mix together and dollop over salad – keep leftovers for something yummy tomorrow


Cos lettuce cut into chunks

Chopped celery

Chopped red capsicum

1 small avocado

Sprinkle of dried cranberries

You can add croutons – I didn’t need the extra

Yummis Cauliflower balls (because that’s what I wanted to use up in the fridge and they were easy and quick to grab) fry up some Tofu or whatever savoury morsel you have to hand – heat a few for a minute in the microwave

These are tasty and quick – I get them at Woolworths and add to salads – – great to have on hand throw a packet in the freezer.

This combo was divine and I guarantee you won’t feel like you’re missing out having the vegan version of Ceaser salad.
