7 Facts About Me!

  1. I have a motorbike fetish and currently own three.
  2. My name is Kate and I am a woman (the name of my blog doesn’t exactly give it away)
  3. I do a lot of solo riding (and thinking) throughout the Australian Outback
  4. I love photography and am passionate about at least a dozen other things including poetry, writing, philosophy and food which is why my Blog is a little random (it smoothes out after awhile and you start to get the rhythm of what and when I post)
  5. I commenced this blog in October, 2016 and am now seriously addicted to both writing my own blog and reading others.
  6. I am married with two teenage sons that are way taller than me.
  7. I was raised on a sheep station in far western Queensland Australia.
  8. I have a Boxer dog and we understand each other completely.

I nominate…

survivinginjapan I love your food and photos!

Qwietpleeze I enjoy your stories and think you are a lovely character

ClaireD I have only been following you for awhile but love your writing and poetry.

Shattered in Him because after many years of moving away from organised religion (though still being deeply spiritual)  there is something in your posts that I find deeply comforting and plus I think you are a lovely person.

Finally (though this is in no particular order you understand 🙂  Val from  https://quietseason.wordpress.com/ because I enjoy your writing so very much and and your thoughtful comments. It has been too quiet (from your end) so I hope you are well and coming back soon.

I could have nominated several other people here so easily but wanted to keep it short and sweet.

That’s it! Thanks again Jo you lovely girl and you certainly deserved your award with your gorgeous blog!

  1. I just happened to take a quick peek for updates (was sick with a sick baby all week and I am so behind). I cannot tell you how how comforting your words were just now or how much it means to see this. Thank you for that!! I got a little teary! I will work on this. I still have to follow-up on a couple nominations, so I need to make it a point this week to do so.

It is also nice to know your name and be able to picture you flying through the outback! 😃

      • Today was so much better for me and I am hoping the baby is finally coming around. This was his first big cold (he is 9 months now). Our 3 year old had it last week and it seems we’ve all taken turns circulating this the last few weeks. It is just that time of year.

Thank you for lifting my spirits!

  2. Thanks. I don’t usually do blog awards as I don’t have the energy (I’m pretty tired much of the time) but I’ll think about it. Good to know a bit more about you. 🙂 By the way, are you getting notified of my posts? Only, a few people aren’t. If you’re not let me know and I’ll include you in my email list.

    • No Val I’m not I haven’t seen any of your posts for a fortnight I would say. Everyone I follow is supposed to show up in my reader but I don’t think they are and it is a pain going through email as to like or comment you have to keep signing in.

      • Well you have to sign in to comment anyway. Apart from comment likes, I don’t have post likes turned on. What I meant by email is email I send a few people, personally, from my own email address associated with this account (the one you can see on each of my posts via the comment moderation page, if you use it at all). Anyway, I post erratically but rarely leave more than a week or two between posts so you can always bookmark my blog and just pop in. The Reader’s useless and always has been!

      • Good, good. Will respond to any comments tomorrow as it’s 3.05am here and I’m headin’ for bed. 🙂

  3. Nice to know more things about you, Kate. I think it’s so cool that you’re into motorbikes. I don’t know much about cars and bikes, so I can only admire women like you who have a passion for it. Haha!

I can REALLY relate to #5 here. It’s just so interesting reading about different people with different backgrounds. Also, writing is breathing. 🙂

  4. Kate, I thanked you for reading so many of my posts and completely forgot to thank you for the follow! Thank you so much and I will definitely keep checking in to read your posts. 🙂
