Sunlight stretches from paddock to paddock
encompassing hills
groves of trees
this back yard.
It stretches from as far as I can see
to right here
laps at my feet
warms my heart
Drenches my shoulders
washes warmth down denim clad legs
I wonder how many people cease their thoughts
and stand in the wonder that is sunlight pouring, on a winters day

That warmth is so welcome in wintertime!
It is Camilla – and yet we run away in summer – humans are fickle, the sun must wonder
The rain and the sun are what make us appreciate each the opposite! (I’m heavily weighted in the rain direction, personally, but then it is high summer here! 😉 )
I love summer rain to Camilla – I really am a child of the sun though. Rain makes me melancholy after a few hours
LOL, I am your mirror opposite. 🙂 The rain is my element. Sun I take in spates. I used to love to run in the rain, actually.
And if we were all the same it would be boring 😊 and the rain clouds would have no one to love them, and the sun no respite from having to be “on” all the time.
🙂
you’ve captured the wonderful feeling of a warm winter day perfectly, Kate.

I bathed in the sun, sitting on a granite rock by lake Karkarook today, Kate. Wonderfully relaxing.
I love the sun in winter, I toast myself like a cat and end up sunburnt. Your rock sounds like bliss DD
I do love the warm sunshine.
I wonder whether you’ve heard this song:
