Purple flowers blooming
In the Jacaranda trees
Tell me Spring is over
It feels like Summer here
Or it does today
This year my youngest is leaving
school
In just 5 days to be exact
And I’m not ready
Still selfish
Not emotionally detached
But what is the point of blooming
If I hold on too tight
The trees display reminds me
We can’t have it any other way
After all
It’s how the flower leaves the tree
And the seasons move along
The last few weeks of school are so emotional both for parents and kids – one minute high – the next low – a bit of a trip. Pat is my baby – now he is set to fly and I’m excited for him but a little melancholy also – love and best wishes for all those school leavers and parents out there at this time x
