Your words provided sustenance
I picked them one by one.
My mind wove little fantasies
and when I was done
plate licked clean
I passed it back again
saying
“more please..”
*Blogs, books, podcasts, quotes, a phrase overheard in a conversation. All these things inspire me. Food for thought. *Yesterday, I had two bloggers reply in their comments, “Glad I provided food for thought.” Which they had done by their sharing their words. This happens all the time. We light sparks of inspiration for one another.
So this poem is for everyone who runs their fingers over the keys, hits publish, and shares their work with the world because we don’t have to do it. But we do. Thank you.
More please.
*when I say “yesterday” sometimes that is several days ago, I sometimes write quite a few posts and they all queue up and get ahead of me so take my “yesterdays” and “todays” loosely. 💕

More please , Kate 🤗

terrific metaphor, Kate; that’s how I feel when I come across an adventurous, appetizing post; I want more 🙂
Haha yes John, and why my bookshelf has a stack of books that I haven’t read yet – my eyes are bigger than my time allowance when I am bookstore shopping. That’s why I love driving so much, I can load up several podcast episodes I’ve been saving and just listen – the time flies.
I haven’t got into podcasts yet but I will get there —
My husband hasn’t found one that he likes yet and it frustrates him a bit because I have my shows that I listen to and I’m always enthusing about them. I think you have to find your interest niche. I’m curious about lots of things so I guess I find lots of things to listen to.
okay Kate; I am interested in words; I’ll ask at the library on Wednesday —
Thanks for sharing this idea Anita
So true… and funny enough, I wrote a poem last night about this very topic. Only that poem was about one particular person instead of everyone. My main muse is sadly gone, but the inspiration I find here on WP is so helpful. I’d be so lost without this wonderful community of writers.
It is a truly special family we have here! 💖
I love that we have all these platforms to share our content on now. Reading so much amazing content especially on here has really helped me grow. And a lot of your posts genuinely make me think. I love that about WordPress.
Me too Pooja, WordPress is great.
