Another two minute read on Substack.
This is one of the hardest stories I have had to compile to date, because Maggie isn’t a character that should be contained to a two minute read.
But the rules are there for a reason, so I’m trying to stick to them.
Maggie is a person who could otherwise be dismissed quite easily. Like all of us I guess. We take each other at face value until we delve a little deeper.
Maggie is a female entrepreneur. A quiet leader full of grace and kindness. She studied her masters at university in China, yet didn’t hesitate to take an unskilled job in a country where there was a language barrier.
But that was a long time ago and what she has done since overcoming those obstacles, both for herself and others is a tribute to a life force that is geared towards gratitude rather than entitlement.
I learned a lot from Maggie. Her story link is below:

it’s a great inspirational story; it’s good to meet such a determined woman; thanks for sharing this, Kate 🙂
My pleasure John, Maggie is a wonderful person.
Ahh, I just read “Business Woman”. I see we both were working hand in hand. Lol! Is the 2 Hands your project?
It is Ahzio. Something that has been tumbling around my brain for awhile and I’m enjoying bringing to life. I don’t always get the time I want to work on it, but if I can do one story a week at the moment I’m happy.
Nice
Thankyou Sunshine – what a lovely handle 💛
You’re doing some great work, Kate. Inspiring! Will click through and read more.
Thanks Michelle, i know everyone’s time is precious these days and it is a (possibly) crazy move to go and start something important somewhere else but it is only a click and a two minute read. Each interview takes me deeper into the enjoyment of what I’m doing.
Fascinating person! I love her sense of competence, how she just threw herself at new endeavors and believed she could learn whatever she lacked. And a pilot’s license just for shits & giggles! And prize-winning succulents, because why not? 🙂
That’s exactly it. Maggie has this palpable self confidence which comes from looking for and finding her strength again and again. She is also the most joyful, happy person Camilla. Exactly – why not? Why aren’t we all passionately involved in life instead of holding it at arms length in case it bites? or maybe that is just me. I learned a lot from Maggie, putting some into practice already.
Or getting dragged kicking and screaming while it runs wild in the fields with us in its mouth like a pup (or maybe that’s just me 😉 ) I, too, can learn from Maggie!
Wow, she’s done so much in her short adulthood I was envisioning a 70 year old until you dropped her age. Great story.
Maggie will write her own book and it will be a bestseller when she is 70 or 80 Jeff.
I learned a lot from her. Mostly about jumping into life fully instead of thinking it might bite me if I take on too much.
