Dawn
The last star of the night stays up late to say
good morning to the brave, the weary, the inspired,

The ones on fire

The ones that rise
No matter what
Every day

She stays up late
Just to make sure they are okay

Her early risers
And just as humans wish on the first star of the evening
Our morning star wishes for us,
On us
Blessings
Then the sun rises
And she leaves us in his capable hands
Just shine she says
Just shine
And I believe
That is all that is required
Of any of us

And I can’t do much about that – but I have seen many a morning star because I have always been an early riser and now, more than ever, I find her blessings.

I am back from my trip and will catch up with my reading here and my laundry and my everything else over the next few days but I just had to jot this one down before I forgot it – perhaps you are a morning star riser too.
