There is a place in the throat
You can feel it when you swallow
They form a clump
Like a jar lid
Keeping emotions inside
Be careful of the seal
Things can go rotten in there
Restraint is commendable
But stomach acid does terrible
To an inside that doesn’t ring true

It’s been many days since I’ve been able to sit and just read. And what a pleasure it always is to read your gifts. To be authentic just this morning I had to release some acid. Times that I HAVE to be transparent to speak my truth are not always easy for the listener to “stomach”. Authenticity is sometimes rare. And swallowing my truth hurts. 💚 I just love your words.
“This above all: to thine own self be true. And it must follow, as the night the day. Thou canst not then be false to any man/Farewell, my blessing season this in thee!”.Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Right on, Kate.
I often think of that passage Len, Mum used to quote it now and then and it always struck me as a truism.
Another brilliant work of yours! 🙌 We have to get out that acid rot and live our truth. You write yours so eloquently. Always inspired by you, Kate!
Thanks Katy that’s a lovely thing to hear 😊
Love this one. 🙂
I feel like this piece sums up my last 2 weeks pretty damn well. I had to finally allow myself to feel, emotions to flow through because that frog in my throat was really starting to ache. Well done👏😊
I always know when I’m heading off the path. Tight throat, heavy chest. Out of sync. Glad you are starting to get back into flow again – nothing feels better.
Exactly!! Since I’ve taken a special interest in balancing my chakras, I notice my throat and heart chakras more acutely when I’m out of sync! Yes, it feels great to be flowing again😊
Love this! Be true to yourself 👌
I always feel it in my gut first, this was perfectly written.
