Cycles of Friendship

Tangled up and talking nonsense

The minutes slip away

Old friends

Sore cheeks from laughter

Warmth that fades, but only long after

And the memory remains

Until the next time

Like a half moon smile

We come around again

Fade into the blue sky when the sunlight is brightest and times are busy

But when the dark descends

My friend

There we stand, ready and waiting
