The beautiful face

And what is jealousy if not desire?

And how do we know what we desire

without that sharp, uncomfortable tug

in another direction?

Once I viewed jealousy like this?

I followed her as passionately as any other waking dream I’ve had

So far, she has not led me astray

    • I read about it years ago, a passing comment about jealousy being used as a pointer for what we desire (which can be a vague and frustrating grey fog sometimes) it cuts through and says “go and do that “ so I did and we shall see Michael. So far I feel I’m on the right path.
It’s all just a tug of the heart or gut and they don’t always speak clearly ✨

      • i’m a big fan of listening to those tugs at the heart Kate. I think, in ways that aren’t readily apparent, those feelings often work for our betterment. Hope you are having a great first day at your new business work! Mike

  1. Ah, the tugs and pulls. Feeling all the feels. You’re brilliant, Kate. Right now other things are vying for my attention. A bit of jealousy perhaps? I’m struggling to balance health, responsibilities, writing, and reading…oh yes, the treatment. Starting a new mind and heart-connected meditation, staying intentional…it took me all day to arrive here, at your place, and I’m happy. Much love, my friend. Your words always inspire me. 💕

    • I used to think of jealousy and envy as a vile emotion that should be avoided. Yet it is natural, it arises and when I looked in the direction it pointed I saw something I desired. Truly. Sincerely. Deeply. It can be edifying in a grey area. And I wouldn’t have come across it any other way. So I took steps to find a piece of what my friend had that took nothing away from her and looks completely different to me. I found my own work that hopefully will be just as impactful in the world – in another way. The ephemeral quality of want that hangs and pulls but is not clear is always clarified by desire. Then we can act. I don’t mean material objects or coveting what another has – just a way of being or doing that resonates and then putting ourselves in line with that. You will get it I know 💕
