Memory

It is difficult to recall that the earth is a ball

Floating around in space

When horizons are flat

The sky looks solid

And we are stuck in the human race

It’s difficult to know that the tree that grows

Sprang forth from a random seed

It’s puzzling we forget

we are surrounded by magic

And instead worry about what someone said

Or did

Or what to have for dinner

Or whether we turned the oven off before we left the house

Or any number of small insignificant things that blind us

Numb us

I don’t know why

We focus so finely

On things that don’t matter an ounce

But it’s difficult to remember what’s important

So

We are slowly strangled by trivialities

As the sun drops low lighting up the sky in glorious colour

we can’t see

because inside

there are so many screens

And the picture above is taken at dawn not sunset but it is the same thing. Hello 👋 I’ve been on a bit of a break from my blog to focus on other things but I’m back.

Have a lovely day, it begins with a lovely thought and then, just keep choosing the most beautiful thing you can think, over and over.

    – Sadly, we were *led* to this artificial life. And so many of us fell for it, hook, line and sinker.
