Butterfly hearts

If I were to ask the sky

Why?

It wouldn’t tell me

And if I were to ask a human

They would tell me from their experience

Not mine

If I were to ask my dog

She would speak with her eyes

But I cannot fathom what that means

Questioning of the mind can be asked out there

But to answer the queries of the heart we must listen

Inside

But be careful

You may not be ready

For that reply

And when it comes after so long it threatens

Butterflies have no use for cocoons after they have transformed

But we humans need our hearts to go on

And if a response can break the shell that once contained it

Probably best not to ask silly questions
