From around age ten
we begin taking out contracts
Invisible signatures
In indeliblee ink
That say
I know you
And you know me
But
I don’t remember signing
Away the right to forget
Everything,
and begin again
*header picture of a tribe of boys playing on the beach. I was entranced by their rough and tumble and exuberant shouting and free spirits. They reminded the obedient child in me that it is okay to take up space and fill it with the things that are important to me.

I agree, this sudden boost into the adult world is very confusing as a teen.. I too do not remember the signing of the contract which made me forget my preteens and childhood…. Very relatable
Tear up the contracts Chris. Only take them out with yourself 😊 and feel free to erase and create new ones anytime.
